Lasswade Garage
The picture on the left was sent in by Iain McConnell of Australia and is of his grandparents David and Mary Burns who owned the garage until around 1970. Iain has provided some information on his family on our message board and would like to hear from anyone who remembers them.
The top right and bottom left pictures are of an old lorry currently stored at the garage which became more visible following clearance of vegetation last summer. Does anyone know its history? Bottom right is a sketch by Steve Scola of the same lorry in the same position 12 years earlier before the tree grew and the bonnet fell. Then two further pictures from 1964 sent in by Iain McConnell - the garage and David Burn's Humber car.
