LASSWADE DISTRICT CIVIC SOCIETY
Local Project Day - 25th August 2001

Over seventy members and friends of the Society tackled ten projects to improve pathways and communal sites around the area.  Well over a hundred bags of litter, loose vegetation and larger items, including some fished-out from the river North Esk, were collected.  Afterwards, the volunteers gathered at the park pavilion to enjoy a picnic lunch.  The younger helpers were decorated with creative face-painting but unfortunately heavy rain curtailed the further planned games activities.
